**Hours of work**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 35 hours per week

**Job Overview**:
The Community Resources Coordinator - is involved in planning, implementing, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of Community Resources. The Community Resources Coordinator is responsible for promoting and protecting SARA’s reputation by developing and executing media relations and public relations plans for brand building, promotional material, and fundraising initiatives through the use of, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn Instagram, and community events.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Plans and implements activities and special events for SARA for Women.
- Create digital marketing strategies using various tools (website, social media, digital and print ads, videos,) that will build and maintain a strong, cohesive online and offline brand.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing the website, highlighting brand awareness and ease of use for visitors
- Assist in developing key messages, images, quotes in line with the SARA for Women brand that can be used for various marketing materials and for various programmes
- Makes recommendations to the Manager regarding program development, policy and procedure formulation and program evaluation.
- Promotes public awareness of and support for SARA for Women by performing duties such as producing promotional materials and attending community events.
- Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals to the program and represent the organization or program in external events.
- Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures. Provides input to the supervisor in the preparation of the program budget.
- Develop, present, and facilitate public presentations to community partners, businesses, and potential networks.
- Assist local organizers, campaigns, and key volunteers in the planning and management of fundraising, special events and community activities.
- Ensure the purpose of the organization and its actions are clearly communicated
- Assist in the research, advertising, coordination and creation of community events and campaigns.
- Update SARA for Women website and social media accounts on an ongoing basis.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Diploma in communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field
- Two years of related experience
- Or a combination of education and experience.
