The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies. We are seeking a senior financial leader with a strong service orientation, a people-focused approach, and the ability to drive transformation for the regular full-time position of Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic leadership and executive oversight of the organization’s Financial Services and Precinct Services departments. The CFO ensures strong financial stewardship, effective governance, and sound capital planning to support the organization’s purpose and long-term sustainability. **QUALIFICATIONS** Applicants must be/have: - Post-secondary education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the public sector, with a proven record of aligning financial systems and processes to support service excellence. - Demonstrated experience in capital planning, executive, and financial oversight of large-scale projects. - Experience with Workday or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including system optimization and process improvement. - Previous experience in a parliamentary environment is preferred. - An equivalent combination of related education and senior experience may be considered.
