Operating as a non-profit society since 1977, Etana provides support services to adults with developmental disabilities. We work with individuals in the city of Red Deer and area, with our office located in Red Deer. Etana continues to grow with respect to the number of individuals supported and personnel and are adaptive with our services to meet the needs of each individual.

We are recruiting a full-time **_Relief Direct Support Worker_** to provide residential support for individuals in Red Deer. This position requires working every **Thursday through Monday**. Because you will be providing relief services, your hours of work are not fixed and will vary to meet the immediate needs of the agency. Some flexibility in your days of work may also be required.

This is an interesting and challenging opportunity for the right person. As relief support, you will be providing supports at any one of the agency’s thirteen residences and within three teams that support individuals that are more independent. Your work location will likely vary from day to day or week to week.

You will confidently provide direct individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities across multiple environments and will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the personal growth, independence and increased social inclusion of individual(s). You will also ensure that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.

**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma or Mature Status
- Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
- 2 years Experience in Human Service Field
- Emergency First Aid CPR / AED
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Experience with personal care

- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) name change
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe
