We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Forma Steel facility.

**Role**: Forklift Operator Coil Management

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Shift**: Day Shift

In the role of Forklift Operator, you will support the daily operations of our manufacturing teams, following the directions provided by the Supervisor and Lead Hands. Your main responsibility will be the safe and efficient transportation of steel coils used in the production of our steel products, ensuring materials are moved to the right locations to maintain a smooth workflow.

- Safely and efficiently operate forklift.
- Perform all pre-use and safety requirements for the use of the forklift.
- Assist with coil management, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials.
- Ensure timeliness and consistency, meeting quality and production standards.
- Always acts with the safety of themselves and others as a top priority.

- Identify and report equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Lead Hand.
- Perform regular quality checks on work, materials, and equipment conditions.
- Approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset.

- Follow safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and hazards.
- Will always properly use all the required PPE (hi-vis vest, safety glasses, earplugs, CSA-approved work boots, etc.).
- Follow and adhere to the machine’s operation training and procedures.
- Take ownership of their forklift operations, ensuring safe handling, precise maneuvering, and proper load management.

**Key Requirements**
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stretch for 8-10-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 50-75 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong manual dexterity for handling materials and operating tools.
- Proper use of all PPE requirements (hi-vis vest, safety glasses, earplugs, CSA-approved work boots, etc.).
- Must stay alert and focused while operating machinery to ensure safety.
- Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
