**About us**

Residential and commercial construction business specializing in renvoations, additions, and new builds with over 35+ years of experience.

We are looking for a Lead Hand to supervise our production crew in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities and the ability to communicate with your team effectively are all crucial for this position, which reports directly to the General Manager. We are looking for individuals who are willing to take on the challenges of multi-tasking, prioritizing and delegating tasks under pressure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Analyse, manage and mitigate risks
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Requirments and Skills
- Proven working experience in construction management
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Leadership and human resources management skills
- Excellent time and project management skills

**Salary**: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Exeter, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- construction: 5 years (preferred)
