**POSITION TITLE**: Forklift Operator

**REPORTS TO**: Warehouse Supervisor

**WORK SCHEDULE**: Regular, Full-Time, Days

**JOB SUMMARY**: Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for moving skids, loading, and offloading trucks and containers, and pick and packing. The Forklift Operator will operate the reach truck, counter balance, and/or, order picker.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the following:

- Conducting daily machinery and equipment inspections and circle checks;
- Unloading and loading delivery trucks and containers;
- Picking and/or packing functions;
- Receiving, unloading, and placing incoming inventory product;
- Assisting in keeping the warehouse aisles clear;
- Conducting daily cycle and inventory counts during year end;
- Relocating incoming skids to ensure the receiving dock is cleared for new delivery;
- Tracking product through RF scanners;
- Cooperating with all departments to provide materials as required for current day production;
- Safe handling and operation of the reach truck, counter balance, and/or order picker;
- Maintaining a clean work environment;
- Adhering to all company and government legislated policies and procedures; and
- Other duties as required.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency on the job;
- Must have the ability to learn and use computer and RF scanning technologies;
- Must be capable of performing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods;
- Must be able to work with others;
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively;
- Must work in an organized manner; and
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid Order-Picker and Reach Truck operator certification; Counter-Balance certification is an asset
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience;
- High school diploma;
- English language proficiency (read/write/speak);
- Previous RF scanner experience is an asset; and
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or fabric cutting experience is an asset.

**PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) REQUIRED**:

- Steel-toed shoes

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Manufacturing setting
- Day Shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) with occasional evenings and weekend overtime

- Mississauga, ON L5R 3M3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 2 years (preferred)
- Order picker: 2 years (preferred)
- Counter balance: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift, Counter Balance, and Order Picker certification (preferred)
