Scope

The Line Cook will support the other Cooks and Chefs as assigned in all areas of the Kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good food safety and sanitation
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Physical Demands
- Continuous standing for long periods of time
- Frequent walking, bending
- Frequent reaching above and below shoulder height
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds / 23 kg
- Working in a hot, noisy, fast-paced environment

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Culinary degree or 1-2 years of work experience in a high volume kitchen environment
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills

This position will receive gratuities in addition to the hourly wage.
