**Production Technician**

Since 2001, IRT Integrated Rectifier Technologies Inc. has manufactured custom electrical power supplies utilized in the Cathodic Protection industry internationally. We are a small team-oriented company of less than 30 staff currently and pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions and quality products to protect industry assets and the world environment. We are located in west Edmonton and are seeking a mechanically inclined, performance driven person to join our team.

**_Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to): _**
- Fabricate product panels (phenolic, UTR, Lexan, etc.) or other items; as per IRT design drawings and procedures and to maximize raw material usage and minimize waste material
- Carry out assembly of rectifier, junction box and other product sub-assemblies, as per IRT procedures
- Create labels as required for products using the engraving tool
- Ensure required labels are affixed to panels and assemblies
- Carry out wiring of rectifier, junction box and other product sub-assemblies, as per IRT procedures
- Install rectifier, junction box and other product sub-assemblies into enclosures and carry out the final assembly process, as per IRT procedures
- Complete production documentation as per quality control standards
- Carry out maintenance of equipment in the work areas
- Ensure work areas are in a clean and organized state
- Assist in other areas/departments as may be required

**_Qualifications: _**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training is provided but prior experience in an electrical / mechanical product manufacturing setting is preferred
- Fluent verbal and written communication in English is essential
- Experience in the use of hand tools, power tools and manufacturing equipment is required

**_Work Conditions/Environment: _**
- Permanent, full time, hourly position
- Working hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) (40 hour work week with some overtime required)
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Must have CSA approved steel toe safety footwear
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, handling, lifting, reaching, traversing stairs, talking, hearing and seeing (close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus)
- Ability to primarily stand and walk during the entire work shift is required
- Preferably own vehicle for transportation, however public transportation is available
