The incumbent works independently and provides administrative assistance to support the successful execution of important CAE projects. They coordinate and schedule appointments; create and edit correspondence; update the CAE website; create and format reports and presentations; attend and record minutes of meetings; track and follow up on actions and decisions emanating from meetings; and monitor Directors’ activities/projects/ priorities.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Provide administrative support to the CAE, including such duties as scheduling meetings, events and appointments, preparing correspondence and reports, organizing and reconciling travel arrangements, and note-taking for working groups and committees.
- Establish and maintain accurate and accessible human resources, operational, and financial documents and record systems for the Centre for Academic Excellence as a whole, and for specific projects.
- Organize and maintain internal and external CAE communications, ensuring AODA compliance and a high standard for content accuracy, tone, and style. Internal communications include, but are not limited to, shared drives and folders, guides, manuals, plans, minutes from meetings, and internal process documents. External communications include, but are not limited to, communication and promotion of CAE programs, activities, and events.
- Arrange for CAE program, event and activity requirements including communications with guests and visitors, room bookings, technology needs, accommodations, travel and parking, directions, signage, food and refreshments, and registration and reception functions. Oversee the collection and reporting of feedback on Centre events.
- Coordinate the purchasing of goods and services, processing and tracking of invoices, expense reimbursements, purchasing card statements, and other related budget items and reports under the purview of the CAE; liaise with the Finance office as required.
- Working closely with the Centre for Academic Excellence staff, assist with special projects and events and participate on Niagara College working groups and committees by request of the Directors.

**Qualifications**:

- Two (2) year diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or similar field of study
- Three (3) years experience in a fast-paced environment
