As a part of this exciting team, the Project Assistant reports directly to the Manager, Corporate Scheduling Office and will provide support to the implementation team in the workflow mapping, design, build, configuration and testing of the new Scheduling system. Our current payroll and staff scheduling platform (Kronos) is scheduled for a significant upgrade that will impact our 7500 team members. **Your Role**: Working in a team-based environment that is mission-driven, results-focused, and customer oriented, the incumbent will support the implementation project from conception to completion, in addition to performing a variety of project and administrative tasks. The incumbent should be comfortable supporting technology and may have responsibility for training and/or supporting staff directly.

You are comfortable with working independently under mínimal supervision and with making decisions that support the mission, vision and core values of Niagara Health. Additional daily activities and multi-site travel may be required. The incumbent may be required to support activities outside of regular business hours.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assisting in and independently planning, coordinating and implementing projects of low to medium complexity
- Assessing, establishing, and maintaining data and scheduling workflows to ensure organized electronic and paper records for projects
- Assisting with preparation of project communications, power point presentations, and periodic reporting requirements
- Serving as a liaison between the project team our Central Scheduling team and Niagara Health Staff
organizing and coordinating organizational wide efforts
- Assisting in the preparation of meeting agendas, presentations, communications, and training materials
- Other duties as assigned
- General support for the project deliverables

**Qualifications**:

- 3 years of administrative, project coordination, business process/analysis, and data analysis experience or equivalent, ideally in a healthcare setting
- Community College diploma specializing in Office Administration, Computer Technology or a Health Care Related field or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Vocantas, KRONOS (electronic scheduling)
- 3 years recent experience with staff scheduling using an electronic scheduling system
- Recent experience with scheduling related provisions in pertinent collective agreements required
- Good knowledge of project management best practice methodologies (project planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, benefits realization)
- Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines is essential
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Experience in conducting workflow analysis, value stream mapping, and data mapping an asset
