Summary
Reporting to the District Manager, the** Operations Team**will manage the day-to-day activities of the store and to oversee the work accomplished by team members. A majority of time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, staffing and scheduling), ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store. The incumbent is responsible for leading by example in accordance with FOUR20 values to ensure that the interests of the company are protected always.
**Essential Functions**
- The Basics: Ensure your assigned store(s) is/are open, our people are safe and compliance is upheld at all times.
- Leads and coaches through the company vision and core values. Nurture a safe and inclusive environment.
- Develop BOH and communication store level targets with team. Action to achieve these targets: Revenue, Average Basket Value/Size and Budget.
- Works to achieve and action on budgets and sales forecasts in conjunction with the District Manager.
- Approves within budgetary limits and District Manager approval, all store expenditures for the purchase of supplies, equipment, and expense items.
- Provides consistent communication, coaching and feedback to hold the team accountable to results.
- On your sales floor 5 days a week leading your team by example, giving feedback, and coaching in the moment; you are accountable for all areas of training /customer experience.
- Displays a customer comes first attitude by training and holding team members accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, through flawless execution of our We Pass program
- Accountable for the successful selection process, training, and relationship management of your team.
- Maintain and monitor store inventory levels and support initiatives for loss prevention.
- Execution of visual merchandising as outlined by the Hub.
- Unpack boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh up to 30 lbs.)
- Ensure staff are compliant on training and mandatory material, onboarding and ongoing functional training.
- Ensure that the store is clean, safe, and presentable for customers.
- Management of vacation/LOA/sick requests, including tracking for all staff, timecard approval and management for your location.
- Work with HR and District Manager to process employee changes appropriately to ensure proper adherence to process and timely and accurate pay for your team.
- Support in facilitating successful trainings, performance/development meetings.
- Ensures that all employees fully understand and are utilizing the most current systems i.e. Lightspeed, ADP Workforce Now, etc.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Assists with maintaining strong relationships within the local community.
- Emergency response: setup structure to handle unplanned events, support store staff when these incidents occur, secure the location and safety of people in an emergency.
- Responsible for inspection readiness (Compliance, OHS, etc).
- Management of local security system and building access.
**Education, Skills, Experience, Knowledge and Supervisory Responsibility**
- Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass the requirements for provincial Cannabis certification - MANDATORY.
- 2+ years’ experience leading in a retail setting.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a Retail supervisory role is a must.
- 5 year of Customer Service experience in a retail preferred.
- Understanding of budget concepts and familiar with a P&L.
- Completion of post-secondary education in a business-related field and / or formal sales training preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices would be an asset.
- Possess good computer skills, specifically with Excel, Word and Outlook, POS experience is an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
- Manages multiple tasks at a time with attention to detail and works well under pressure.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the Cannabis industry.
- Must be well organized and capable of making decisions that are in the best interests of the company and the customers.
**Work Environment**
- Must be able to move & work at different store locations within the city they were hired for.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays; may be required to work additional time, as per business needs.
- Minimal to no travel required.
