We are hiring a Jeweler to help us create handmade jewelry of high quality. You will be responsible for creating inspired pieces of jewelry, using precious metals and gems, that will help us capture our target markets’ attention. The jewelry you make will be marketing materials for our company. As a Jeweler, you must have a keen eye for detail and artistic flair. It is essential to have an intrinsic understanding of metals, gemstone and the artistic side of jewelry making. Your role is to provide creative solutions that match our brand image. Ultimately, you should be able to craft high-quality designs that showcase how we are going to capture the market’s attention.

**Responsibilities**:

- Facet angled gem stones and diamonds to produce more brilliant gems.
- Perform rough stone measurements.
- Mount gem stones into prongs and settings.
- Polish gem stones and diamonds to remove cuts and fractures.
- Clean, level and perfectly align gem stones with a laser.
- Create models of the gem stone with wax, a mold or a lost-wax casting process.
- Assist customers in selecting gemstones, settings and jewelry designs.
- Carry out repairs on pieces that have been damaged or have worn out over time.
- Maintain records of inventory, sales and repairs.

**Salary**: $17.69 per hour
