**Job Title: Cashier**
Reports to: Branch Manager
Hours: Full Time
**Salary**: $ 22.00 per hour
Great benefit package offered upon successful completion of probationary period for full time employees.
**Description**:
Cashiers are important members of the customer service team. Our cashiers are adept at using the point-of-sale system and elements of the business information system to help customers. Cashiers will develop a working relationship with our regular customers and have the option of moving up at Wes-Tech as they gain experience.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Promptly and warmly greet all customers.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Manage transactions using computer system.
- Receive and process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or on account.
- Promote products, features, and clearance items
- Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly.
- Effectively communicate with customers and staff.
- Assist in maintaining appearance of the branch.
- Report backorders and or material discrepancies.
- Accurately perform cycle counts.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, more with assistance.
- Great attention to detail, positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability and eagerness to learn new products, procedures, and processes.
**Education**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Pay: $22.00 per hour
