Sunrise Waldorf School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Admissions and Communications Coordinator (ACC) beginning for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time position based at our beautiful seven-acre campus in the Cowichan Valley near Duncan, BC. Our mission is to educate and inspire students to reach their full potential through a rich and artistic Waldorf curriculum. **Position Overview**:
The Admissions and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a vibrant and thriving school community by leading the admissions process, managing enrollment strategies, and supporting the school’s internal and external communications. This role involves close collaboration with the administration, faculty, families, and community members.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Admissions & Enrollment_
- Serve as the primary contact for all prospective families from inquiry to enrollment.
- Conduct school tours, open houses, and orientation.
- Coordinate intake meetings.
- Manage annual re-registration process will all families.
- Chair the Enrollment Committee, guiding strategic planning, outreach activities, and enrollment events.
- Maintain and analyze enrollment data and recommend innovative strategies for recruitment and retention.
- Support and follow up with families transitioning into or out of the school and during their time at Sunrise to promote a welcoming and supportive experience.
- Communications & Marketing_
- Lead the creation and distribution of internal and external communications, including the weekly newsletter.
- Manage social media accounts and maintain current content on the school’s website and calendar.
- Develop promotional materials and oversee advertising strategies in collaboration with the Enrollment Committee.
- Represent the school at community outreach events and festivals, maintaining high standards of public relations.
- Administrative Support_
- Provide support at the front desk and assist with reception duties as needed.
- Coordinate special events including development initiatives, school photography, extracurricular registration, and guest services (e.g., catering, resource services).
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to promote parent engagement and uphold the school’s values and policies.
- Liaise with the Parent Association to support alignment and collaboration.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Education, Administration, etc).
- Prior experience in an independent school or nonprofit setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including creating forms and spreadsheets, Canva, social media marketing, website design and management, and familiarity with MyEducationBC.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $48,500.00-$52,000.00 per year
