**Job Description**:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Perform the role of Project Manager and concurrently manage one or more projects.
+ Be the primary point of contact with clients on active projects
+ Lead and direct the AECOM team to complete the contemplated work by managing the integration of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management.
+ Coordinate design management activities of cross functional architecture and engineering groups for feasibility studies, options analysis, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction contract administration
+ Manage contractual obligations with clients
+ Monitoring and controlling budget, schedule, and risks for monthly reporting.
+ Document management including preparing meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence with clients.
+ Play an active role in quality management and compiling design packages for submission to clients.
+ Attends internal and external meetings, design workshops, and site visits as required.
+ Supervise and mentor Deputy Project Managers or Project Coordinators.
+ Establish and maintain a sense of collaboration within the project team, including with clients and external consultants or third-party stakeholders.
+ Assist the Market Sector Leader with business development activities such as creating connections with clients, providing input into proposals, representing the firm at industry functions or conferences, and maintaining a working knowledge of projects within the firm.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
+ University Degree in Architecture or Engineering
+ Must have no less than six (6) years of experience with Canadian Defence clients (Defence Construction Canada and/or Department of National Defence).
Preferred Requirements
+ Prefer ten (10) years of experience with Canadian Armed Forces including buildings such as aviation infrastructure, command and control centres, training facilities, vehicle maintenance or storage facilities, accommodations, or special military infrastructure
+ Past experience with projects that require personnel security clearance and document safeguarding
+ Knowledge of National Building Code (NBC), National Master Specification (NMS), and DND Greening Directive is considered an asset
+ Former Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) service considered an asset
+ Prior experience in design and construction projects for buildings considered an asset
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) considered an asset
+ Strong communication skills, collaboration abilities, and willingness to learn.
+ Ability to responsibly work independently without supervision or in groups
+ Outstanding time management skills and commitment to meeting client deadlines
+ Understanding of fundamental building science concepts.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawing
