The incumbent is responsible for operating a forklift in the yard. They will prepare the shipment of goods to meet customer orders. Load and unload trailers in a safe manner without damaging product. Supplies plant with materials according to plan, moves product around the plant and yard in an appropriate manner, locates inventory, ensures the safety and cleanliness of the work environment and equipment and may participate in continuous improvement projects.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
**General Duties / Tasks**:

- Operate equipment in accordance with work instructions and procedures provided by Numesh Ontario
- Know and respect the quality standards for each product
- Understand and interpret a proper load
- Understand and follow yard storage procedures
- Know and use proper product handling procedures
- Organize work to avoid machine downtime to ensure continuous turnover
- Notify the supervisor of any irregularities in the equipment or any part changes that may be necessary
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Check the general condition of the work area
- Understand and master the equipment operator's manual
- Dispose of production waste in the appropriate containers
- Perform all other related tasks in connection with the position

**Health and safety**:

- Keep the work environment clean and tidy at all times
- Understand and comply with safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate in the prevention of work-related accidents

**Requirements**:

- Have minimum 5 years of experience as a forklift driver, 15,000LB capacity and higher
- Have a valid driver's license
- Be able to work outside in all weather
- Be punctual and diligent at work and be able to follow instructions
