PRIMARY FUNCTION: Set up, adjust and maintain automatic decorators, coaters and related back-end equipment. Maintainer has primary responsibility for production and quality on assigned equipment. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Spray machines, coaters and decorators, ovens, neckers, flangers, testers, elevators, conveyors, air/ mechanical single filers, palletizers, hand and powered trucks, hand and power tools and gauges, broom, mop, paint. MATERIALS: Plain and decorated cans, lubricants, lacquers, varnishes, coatings, inks, solvents, janitorial supplies, etc. SOURCE OF SUPERVISION: Shift Supervisor. DIRECTION EXERCISED: None. DUTIES: Check schedule to determine need for change-over or if scheduled maintenance is in order. Determine if schedule can be adjusted and time allows for overhaul, repair or re

Ensure that all safety equipment, devices and guards are properly used and in place at all times. Follow safe working procedures and safety rules.
