**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient day-to-day operations at our seafood processing facility. You’ll work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to maintain high-quality standards, optimize workflows, and lead production staff to meet business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring proven seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Support the Plant Manager and work closely with the Production Manager in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and quality control.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules, balancing material availability and labor requirements.
- Optimize plant equipment and workforce utilization to increase production capacity and reduce costs.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze production data to improve efficiency and inform decision-making.
- Maintain high-quality standards while developing and implementing new processing procedures.
- Assist with logistics for all incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth operations.
- Train, develop and collaborate with plant staff to build a strong and capable team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist as needed by operating our forklifts both inside and outside our production and cold storage areas.

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**
- Previous experience in seafood processing industry required.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience with plant operations, or production scheduling.
- Knowledge of seafood safety regulations and processing best practices.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management abilities.
- Fluent English skills; fluency in Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese is an asset.
- A proactive mindset and ability to work well with the team in a collaborative environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
