**Job Description** Mission**

We are looking for a piping design technician for our Energy and Resources team. The person we seek will be a key resource in terms of knowledge of piping standards and specifications for various industrial projects. They may also be called upon to work on projects outside this specialty. This is why flexibility is an important asset in the industrial design team.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Execute the design and modeling of piping and mechanical equipment in compliance with standards and specifications in a 3D digital environment (point cloud)
- Prepare and develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Verify and ensure the quality of 3D models
- Oversee multidisciplinary coordination with the industrial team and other professionals assigned to the project
- Control the quality of drawings prepared by less-experienced members of the design/drafting team
- Take part in technical audits, surveys and site monitoring (on occasion)

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or Certificate in Drafting or Engineering Technology
- More than 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or piping design in heavy industry (mining, pulp and paper, manufacturing, petroleum)
- Proficiency in industrial mechanical 3D design with a focus on safety, construction, ease of maintenance and good industry practices
- Experience in plant installation and optimization (Brownfield / Greenfield)
