As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager enthusiastic experienced **Kitting Lead Hand **to join our successful Toronto team immediately. We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in manufacturing.

**SUMMARY**:
This role will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day activities in the Material Handling and Kitting Department working closely with Receiving, Tube Cell, Stamping, and Weld for efficient coordination and flow of product. Takes direction from management and keeps management informed of any irregularities or concerns that may arise. Coordinate scheduling of work and optimize the use of all processes, personnel and materials to meet quality and delivery requirements.

This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days.

The pay rate is $26.08/h - Shift Premium where applicable.

VACANCIES: 1 Afternoon Shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)

**ROLE**:

- Must be knowledgeable regarding Material movement and Inventory controls
- Key involvement in Inventory control and year-end Inventory preparation
- Responsible for coordinating departmental efforts as per management instructions
- Completing work orders for kitting
- Pick raw materials and parts for kitting
- Tracking components into weld for allocation / Inventory requirements
- Advise of shortage in raw materials or in-house parts
- Aptitude and potential to develop skills
- Strong team building and communication skills
- Support Receiving and Shipping departments as required
- Backup Receiving duties as required
- Communicate to other departments the process safety requirements, process quality control and process operations.
- Participates in the training of new material handlers and assist with training of existing employees
- Informs management immediately of any issues with regards to safety, quality, inventory and delivery
- Participates in the Continuous Improvement process
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Enforce and actively promote safe work and good housekeeping practices as per OHSA and Active Policies
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

**DESIRED SKILLS**:

- Good mathematical skills
- Manual dexterity - ability to use common tools
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Computer literate.
- Forklift Certification required
- Highly developed written and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
