We are currently seeking a Part-time **Student Services Assistant** to join our growing team

**About the Role**:
The Student Services Assistant provides vital administrative support to the Student Services Manager and the Student Services team. This role is essential for managing time-consuming tasks, including administrative duties, data sourcing, and logístical coordination. The Assistant ensures smooth operations and supports various functions related to student services, recruitment, and team coordination.
- **Location**:Surrey, BC & Remote
- **Employment Type**: Permanent-Part time (25 Hours per week)
- **Starting Salary**:$27,000 per year, with potential for an increase to $28,000 upon successful completion of the probationary period

**What You Will Do**:

- **Task and Project Management**: Update task lists, track deadlines, and assist with ongoing projects in Student Services.
- **Communication and Liaison**: Act as a point of contact between the Manager, other departments, and students, ensuring smooth information flow.
- **Confidentiality and Discretion**: Handle sensitive information with professionalism and manage access to the Manager.
- **Problem Solving**: Address last-minute changes, support decision-making with research, and manage unexpected situations.
- **Financial Management**: Prepare and manage expense reports, budgets, purchase orders, and invoicing tasks.

**Who You Are**:

- You have an associate's degree or equivalent experience in administration, education, or a related field.
- Prior administrative or support experience in a student services or educational environment is preferred.
- You are proficient with computers and various software such as MS Office, Google docs, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- You are proficient with using various office hardware, such as printers, scanners, photocopiers, etc.
- You have strong writing abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and/or large databases would be an asset.
