**Telecom/Business Technician**

Lakeland Networks, based in Bracebridge, is looking for a professional, technically capable, confident, and energetic **Telecom/Business Technician**. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in the design of telecommunication plans, install technological equipment, analyze technical specifications, and communicate with customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the design of high-level telecommunication plans
- Plan installations, migration and decommissioning with zero blackout
- Installation of technology equipment and wireless technology equipment
- Analyze technical specifications to prepare installation schematic and documentation
- Conduct site surveys and audits when required
- Communicate project progress and concerns with clients
- Quickly shift priorities and adapt to changes to meet organizational and department requirements
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- A university/college degree in telecommunications or electronics, or appropriate work-related experience is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and phone systems is required
- Previous experience, especially in a technical role and/or ISP industry, preferred
- Ability to learn and utilize new computer and phone software programs
- Products & services knowledge
- Excellent service focus
- Self-starter with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and virtual communication skills
- Excellent organizational/analytical skills
- Ability to problem solve & troubleshoot issues
- Experience resolving conflict
- Ability to multitask
- Aptitude testing, clean driver’s abstract and criminal background clearance may be required.
