**Looking for PTA's/Kinesiologist's to join our Team**

Hiring for both part time and full time positions

Starting at $20.37/hr

**Education**

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Following Programs set out by the Physiotherapist;
- Encouraging and recording resident participation in PT;
- Completion of documentation on Point Click Care and Point of Care;
- Working independently and as a team to plan, set-up, lead and evaluate group and individual programs.
- Instructing exercises and assisting with modalities (ultrasound, heat)
- Contributing to a positive environment
- General upkeep of the rehabilitation space
- Administrative tasks as needed
- A post-secondary degree in Kinesiology; OR
- Diploma in PTA/OTA; OR
- Exercise Science or equivalent;
- Current CPR certificate and First Aid an asset;
- Excellent motivational and communication skills and demonstrates team work;
- Current police check required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, exercises
- Passionate about helping others achieve their best quality of life

**Knowledge**

2 years’ experience working with seniors and knowledge of working with residents who have Alzheimer’s, dementia and other related disease is an asset.

Knowledge of the basics of good sanitation and infection control principles to avoid the spread of communicable illness.

Knowledge of the needs of the long term care resident.

Knowledge of the requirements of the Long Term Care Homes Act and corresponding regulations.

Ability to read and write appropriately.

**Physical Demands**

Constant standing and walking during work periods.

Finger and hand dexterity.

Visual and hearing acuity.

Applicants must be permanently eligible to work in Canada upon hire. Proof of eligibility for permanent roles may come in the form of a Canadian birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship certificate, permanent residence card, or Confirmation of Permanent Residence document.
