**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Maintenance & Repairs**:

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on greenhouse equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain essential greenhouse systems such as boilers, pumps, HVAC, irrigation, and environmental control systems.
- Ensure all machinery and systems are in optimal working condition to prevent disruptions to production.

**Team Supervision**:

- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance workers, providing guidance and ensuring work is completed on schedule.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks to maintenance staff, monitoring performance and efficiency.
- Provide training and development to improve the team's skills and knowledge across various trades.

**Facility Maintenance**:

- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all greenhouse facilities, including bunkhouses, storage areas, and common spaces.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment by performing routine inspections and addressing any identified issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.

**Inventory & Budgeting**:

- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials.
- Oversee the procurement of necessary tools, parts, and equipment while managing costs and staying within budget.

**Project Management**:

- Lead and manage special maintenance projects or upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized work as needed.

**Recordkeeping & Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of maintenance operations to senior management.

**Required Qualifications**:
**Experience**:

- At least 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, ideally within an industrial or agricultural setting.
- Experience managing or leading a team in the execution of maintenance tasks is a plus.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing systems such as boilers, pumps, HVAC, and irrigation.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

**Certifications & Qualifications**:

- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or a related field (e.g., journeyman, electrical or plumbing license).
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

**Other Requirements**:

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in greenhouse, agricultural, or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with automated greenhouse systems is an asset.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time, on-site position.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on operational needs.
- Physical demands may include lifting, bending, and working in varying temperatures within the greenhouse environment.
