Halifax Stanfield is Atlantic Canada's principal full-service airport providing passengers and cargo clients with direct access to markets across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean Basin, Europe, and Asia. Halifax Stanfield offers Canada Customs services on a 24-hour, seven days a week basis, and is the only airport in Atlantic Canada with U.S. preclearance and International to Domestic processing facilities. The Airport is a major economic generator, contributing $3.8 billion annually to the provincial economy pre-pandemic. In 2021, Halifax Stanfield served 1.1 million passengers and processed nearly 35,000 metric tonnes of cargo. A recognized innovator in the global airport industry, Halifax Stanfield was the first airport in North America to offer a self-service baggage drop system for all passengers and is consistently ranked among the best airports in the world.

**POSITION SUMARY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Communication or Public Relations is preferred, with two to three years related experience. A similar combination of experience and skills will be considered.
- Fluently bilingual in English and French. Other languages would be an asset.
- Experience working with social media.
- Demonstrated curiosity for complex issues and ability to distill dense information into communications materials for a variety of audiences.
- Extensive experience working with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience using MS Sharepoint and MS Teams an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong cooperative relationships with employees, customers, stakeholders, and partners.
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills in both English and French.
- Excellent time management and priority-setting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations and effectively manage conflict.
- Adaptable to change and ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, planning and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work as member of a team.

**WORK CONDITIONS**:

- A combination of office and remote work options are available for this position.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
- Installing print images in the terminal requiring step ladder, reaching, pulling, climbing, lifting.
- Walking the terminal to check on meeters/greeters, signage and coin box program requires carrying coin.
- Potential exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust.
- Occasional verbal abuse from the public.
