Structural Steel Estimator

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Preparing comprehensive cost estimates for structural steel projects.
- Utilize software to analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to gather necessary information for effective cost analysis.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates for materials and services.
- Develop and maintain estimating standards, processes, and best practices within the organization.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on estimates for management review.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to inform future estimating practices.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in construction estimating software
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
- Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing structures.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost estimation.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
