Position Summary

**Market focus**: Canada and California/USA

**Job Summary**:

- Lead the Educational Strategy for Cansel, which includes the following functional areas:

- Should constitute 35% of your time
- Identifying Universities and Colleges that could supply talent to Cansel and the geospatial industry
- Qualifying Universities and Colleges that can be a part of the scholarship program
- Managing the scholarship program and making sure it is effective
- Hiring Geomatics students in different capacities
- On part-time positions
- On internships
- On the Cansel 360 2-year rotational program (applicable for recent graduates)
- Collaborating with the Sales Team on educational sales opportunities
- Working with Trimble on donations for selected universities
- Lead and manage the GIS portfolio for Cansel, which includes the following functional areas:

- Should constitute 65% of your time
- This includes Trimble’s mapping portfolio of hardware and software
- This will include Trimble Unity from the Trimble Utilities portfolio
- Several other portfolios maybe be added

In this role, you will...

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Provide a strategic vision and an internal direction for the associated product solutions
- Responsible for growing the revenue of these product lines in line with Cansel’s 5 year plan.
- Create programs and workflows to support all the industries we service that are applicable
- Collaborate with the industry leads and grow connections to understand trends and opportunities to make sure we have the right products/strategies
- Be an ambassador of technological advancements, find and evaluate new products and introduce innovations to Cansel
- Ensure proper pricing strategies are in place (List pricing, Client Tier pricing Management and Seasonal Promotions) and discount programs with suppliers are negotiated and maximized
- Manage inventory requirements and ensure availability of products (Review min/max with Cansel Operations Team)
- Manage assigned supplier relationships and ensure all back-end rebates
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team on a new product introduction launch strategy and assist in marketing material development
- Contribute technical knowledge to marketing campaigns and products
- Create internal business plans for bringing new technology to the sales teams
- Collaborate with the Sales teams in understanding technical aspects of the assigned products
- Support sales opportunities when needed
- Collaborate with the Professional services team to make sure they are ready and capable to internally support assigned products

About you...
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consultative engagement experience, business analysis experience, technical sales, business development.
- Proven ability to develop synergic relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Preference given to those with a background in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, Engineering, Utilities, and associated educational sectors.
- Proactive, creative and consultative - not transactional - approach towards identifying new opportunities and penetrating different markets
- Effective communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability
- Ability to work on multiple activities/projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments with organized work habits and scheduling
- Passion for career growth and continuous learning
- Occasional business travel may be required
- Asset: Background experience with Trimble products or in the Utilities sector
