Reporting to the Manager SCM Data, the Advisor SCM Master Data is responsible for providing material master, contingent worker, supplier, and service master data governance stemming from changes to process or tools and/or data quality issues impacting critical processes.

**Primary responsibilities include**:

- Participation in company-wide and inter-departmental projects by assessing, designing, testing, advising on, and stewarding the execution of master data components in time with project deliverables
- Identifying and driving material improvements in master data quality including standard creation, compliance monitoring, master data analysis and repair, and data quality dashboard development
- Managing day to day master data work including operating data create, maintain, and retire processes
- Representing the enterprise in a formal Data Steward accountability for Material Master with primary focus on Material Master

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Superior verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with a variety of people including at ELT and leadership levels

- Strong time management and prioritization skills

- Ability to leverage technology to improve processes and gain efficiencies
- Advanced Excel skills, Power BI, Informatica MDM, ServiceNow and working knowledge with MS Office, PowerPoint. Ariba, Collibra, and Fieldglass expertise considered an asset.
- Understanding of relevant standards, business rules and quality criteria for material, service, contingent worker, and business partner master data
- Proven task prioritization and coordination abilities
- Analytical, detail orientated, and process driven mindset.
- Identify and influence business process enhancements to mitigate data issues
- Advanced Technical competency in SAP S/4; Extensive knowledge with the SAP Material Management (MM) modules; familiarity with the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM) module and material master attributes and configuration (including inventory planning)
- Minimum 6-10+ years’ work experience in a related field (e.g. business, science, engineering, etc.)
- The following would be considered an asset: _
- Oil and Gas experience
- A professional designation
- Cross-functional project management experience
- SAP functional experience (S/4)
- Engineering or inventory experience
- Leadership experience

**Scope**:

- Execution of material master master data governance through the create, maintain, retire lifecycle for the Client requiring coordination and collaboration with internal groups at various levels and geographic locations in the organization
- Govern material master data integrity by ensuring compliance with standards, processes, guidelines, and procedures
- Participation in company-wide and inter-departmental projects:

- participate in various projects/initiatives by assessing, designing, testing, advising on, and stewarding the execution of master data components in time with project deliverables
- Coaching other staff/training: Must serve as a technical resource for other company staff and be able to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
- Test impact of technology changes on data and tools such as MDM Informatica, SAP S/4, Fieldglass, Ariba, Power BI dashboards, ServiceNow and other technology supporting data management
- Make data change approval/rejections and provide initiative data consult services that consider integrated impacts to EHS, Finance, Maintenance and Reliability, Inventory Planning, Quality Management, and Supply Chain
- Identify, escalate, and resolve data quality and process integration issues
- Produce and maintain process documents and master data stewardship
- Help the Data Owners and Stewards to define and achieve data quality SLA’s, KPI’s and metric to realize Northern Lights business case
- Ensure teamwork between Data Stewards if activities span multiple data domains
- Work requires the management of client and senior leader expectations
- Deliver within service levels of the Enterprise Master Data team
- Liaison with IT and technology team staff to resolve issues
- Maintain master data Sharepoint and ServiceNow content
- From time to time provide vacation coverage and assistance on special projects
- Direct and indirect influence over key master data decisions made by staff across the Client company and within Supply Chain
- No “manual” for decision making exists - requires strong independent evaluation and judgment to widely varying business and transactional situations and issues and the ability to provide appropriate governance
