Elevate Your Career as a SCM Ops Category Advisor Role Overview Ownership and management of Categories through the lifecycle including cost modeling, pricing & supplier analysis, and portfolio segmentation. Execute sourcing initiatives per the annual plan, ensuring compliance with established processes. Manage categories including the development of negotiations, award, and post‑award management. Implement post‑award contract management strategies, including supplier pre‑qualifications, RFx initiatives, bid evaluations, and contract changes. Facilitate KPI meetings, dispute resolution, claims management, and contract close‑outs. Ensure all documentation is stored in appropriate Contract Management Systems. Liaise with Business and subject matter experts (SMEs) from Legal, Risk Management, HSE, QA/QC for pre and post‑award commercial activities. Provide guidance and peer assistance to team members. Support SCM Business Value Methodology and strategic objectives. Assist in reviewing supplier performance. Skills & Qualifications Supply Chain Management process expertise. Category Management experience. Proficiency in Ariba for sourcing and contract storage. Experience with SAP systems for P2P processes. Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and Excel. Knowledge of sourcing activities related to contracting. Negotiation skills. Contract management and risk management capabilities. Education & Experience An undergraduate degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience. 8+ years of procurement or contract management experience. 4+ years of previous experience in category management. Professional Supply Chain certification (SCMP, CSCP, CIPS, ISM) is an asset. SAP experience is a plus. Pay & Benefits Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
