**Tantalum Mining Corporation **(TANCO) owned by Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metal Resources Co. Ltd. is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. **Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)**

Regular collection of geologic data necessary to markup mining faces in a timely manner. Taking samples of broken ore and processing to initial stages in the mill. Identifies and blocks out ore for extraction. Works with mine engineering to develop mining plans for identified blocks of ore. In conjunction with Mine personnel, maintains the budgeted head grade for the various ores. Develops and maintains current geological sections and plans of the mine. Develops and supervises definition and development diamond drill programs. Highly initiative-taking and curious individual who will display behavior consistent to TANCO’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

**Technical**: A practical knowledge of pegmatite ore mineralogy and the effects of the different minerals on the metallurgy. Knowledge of recognized ore reserve classification systems. Knowledge of room and pillar mining method. An understanding of the ore to concentrate production process. Work with Mill Staff to understand needs for optimal ore feed. An understanding of the budgeted ore requirements. Complete ore blends based on grade requirements. An understanding of how daily ore decisions affect final unit costs. Core and drift logging, sampling, mapping. 3D modeling on orebody.

**Behavioral**: Performs all job duties in a safe and professional manner. Treats all proprietary information with a high degree of confidentiality. Continues to develop knowledge in all aspects of pegmatites including Geology and GIS software Works as an effective member of a team. Practices clear and concise verbal and written communications. Always acts in the best interests of Tanco/Sinomine.

**Education/Experience**

Technical diploma in either Geology or Mining Geology.

Any direct experience (mine geology, exploration, research) with rare metal pegmatites.

Minimum 5 years Mine Geology experience in a rare element pegmatite operation is preferred.

In the absence of any pegmatite mine geology experience, minimum 5 years non-pegmatite mine geology experience in an underground mining operation with at least 3 years’ experience in a gold and/or PGE mine.

Underground or Surface diamond drill supervision.

**Computer Competency**:
Computer literacy Microsoft Office, AutoCad 3D Leapfrog/Surpac, 2D Mapinfo/ArcGIS/QGIS (at least one)

**Salary**: $59,225.00-$94,863.00 per year
