Our prepared food and catering department is looking to hire a new Cook who will be responsible for preparing awesome dishes for our customers. Duties will include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, cooking meals, checking ingredients for freshness and packaging orders for delivery and pick-up orders. Ensure that kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.

To be successful in this job, you will need a thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Prior experience in a related position and a driver’s licenses is an advantage.

Our catering team predominantly works during the days - 8:00 -4:00.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare meals for our freezer section.
- Prepare and package food orders for corporate lunches, dinners and catering events.
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Make soups, sauces, stocks from scratch.
- Check food and ingredients for freshness. Maintain proper rotation of food to ensure mínimal waste.
- Be willing to cater on site and deliver meals.
- Bring creative ideas forward and design new recipes
- Work well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions.
- Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation.
- Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
