**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a reliable individual to join our team. The Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the installation of landscape and hardscape projects. This leadership role involves managing crews on-site, maintaining communication with the company owner, and ensuring that all work meets Mountain Acres’ standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

During summer, work hours are approximately Monday through Friday, 7.30am-4pm. Although this position is seasonal, individuals who demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude may be offered continued employment throughout winter.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team of landscapers on job sites, ensuring proper training, safety practices, and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret project plans, layouts, and scope of work.
- Manage material orders, deliveries, and inventory related to the job site.
- Monitor project progress and timelines, updating the owner regularly. Report any issues, delays, or potential scope changes to the owner promptly.
- Ensure all crew members follow company policies and procedures and wear required PPE.
- Provide hands-on support for installations when needed, including hardscape and softscape elements.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and report any malfunctioning equipment to the owner.
- Communicate with clients to ensure project specifications are being met and any concerns or changes are addressed promptly.
- Train and mentor new or junior labourers to support skill development and team growth.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues, working with the team to find effective solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and business operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in landscaping, including both hardscape and softscape installation.
- Strong working knowledge of landscape tools, machinery, and installation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a crew, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain team morale and productivity.
- Ability to manage project timelines, materials, and on-site logistics efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with crew members, clients, and management.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and lifting heavy materials when needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges on-site.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and own transportation to and from our warehouse in Springbank.

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Foreman/ Crew Lead: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
