**JOB TITLE: Support Worker Supervisor - Supportive Housing Program**
**LOCATION**: Orillia

**Accountability**:
Directly reporting to the Housing Support Manager, the Support Worker Supervisor (SWS) will provide day-to-day oversight and support to a team of Support Workers who provide individualized support to people living in The Lighthouse Supportive Housing Program. The program provides service delivery 24 hours per day; 7 days per week. This position is responsible to ensure support is given to all staff through direct supervision, one-on-ones, hosting support worker meetings, and completing probationary and yearly reviews. The SWS will ensure to support the Housing Support Workers and Transitional Support Worker in all administrative tasks including but not limited to ensuring all individual support and safety plans are current and adhered to for each Participant. The SWS will also monitor the programming component of Supportive Housing by assisting in the development, promotion, and ensuring the delivery of a variety of therapeutic and/or social/recreational group activities and life skills development opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:
**Leadership**
- Leading, directing, supervising, and providing spiritual support for the program’s Support Workers and applicable Volunteers.
- Ensure team meetings are being conducted monthly as directed.
- Hold one-on-one meetings with all staff regularly and as needed (min 1/mon for relief, every other week for scheduled staff more than 20hrs/wk).
- Assist manager in holding program direct staff meetings ensuring maximum attendance.
- Attend Housing Support Meetings when applicable.
- Attend and encourage attendance at the all-staff meetings for the organization.
- Facilitate or organize training for all Support Workers and Volunteers where applicable.
- Take a proactive approach to program operation and responsibility for leading the team and assisting staff with decisions and direction.
- Ensure opportunities for self-growth and development for all Support Workers and Volunteers.
- Align all team members with the harm reduction model and person-centered approach.
- Actively revealing our Christian faith (when and where deemed appropriate)

**Supervision**
- Provide orientation for all new staff and track the completion of each staff orientation.
- Conduct probationary and annual performance evaluations
- Create and manage staff schedules and relief lists.
- Ensure coverage and adequate staffing at all times including times of staff absence both planned and unexpected.
- Be the first point of contact for staff communication including staff sick time, including on-call responsibilities as required.
- Create, take part in, and manage an on-call schedule.
- Assist in the hiring, terminating, and coaching process of program staff in partnership with the Housing Support Manager.
- Respond according to program protocols to emergency or crisis situations.
- Ensure all employees have the mandatory training and documentation on file.
- Ensure health and safety are kept as a priority and assist the JHSC when necessary.
- Meet with maintenance regularly to ensure proper maintenance of the building is maintained.

**Participant Programming Supervision**
- Ensure Support Workers follow the direction of the case management set out by the Housing Support Workers and Transitional Support Worker including ensuring participants make all appointments with their community-based services related to social/recreational and life skills.
- Assist with the facilitation of early exit plans for participants as necessary with the Housing Support Manager in coordination with the Housing Support workers and Transitional Support workers.
- Assist the Housing Support Workers and the Transitional Support Workers to hold mandatory monthly or bi-monthly in-house participant meetings with the corresponding newsletter.
- Ensure proper documentation is being collected by staff in individual files and communication logs.

**Program Development**
- In coordination with the Program Support Worker, monitor and develop psychosocial and life skills-based programs to facilitate movement through the program.
