Supported by a network of independent sales agents across North America, SSM operates three production facilities within the Calgary area. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add a Sourcing Specialist to the team.

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be accountable to employ cost reductions and long-term strategic planning techniques to manage outgoing costs, including:

- Develop and execute on spend category strategies.
- Perform market research and spend cost modeling analysis.
- Conduct regular vendor reviews to drive strategic cost management initiatives.
- Onboard approved suppliers and foster ongoing, positive relationships.
- Manage the RFQ and NDA processes.
- Manage sample approval and production trial run processes.
- Assist with risk analysis and contract negotiations.
- Develop cost reduction and supplier consolidation ideas.
- Assist with annual material standards reviews.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 5+ years in a similar role.
- Superior communication and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding organization and coordination abilities.
- Previous experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
