The progressive pharmacy department has a commitment to patient care, patient safety and continuous learning. The Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator collaborates with the Director of Pharmacy in developing and maintaining excellence in clinical pharmacy evidence-based programs, departmental & corporate medication policies/procedures and a cost-effective medication formulary that provides patient safety and optimal therapeutic outcomes. This role works closely with the Director of Pharmacy with regards to: - Strategic departmental planning, development, implementation and quality assurance - Continuous quality improvement (CQI) of clinical "pharmaceutical care" by staff pharmacists, excellence in other clinical pharmacy programs, compliance with legislation and meeting all standards of practice - Training and mentorship of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians (BPMH Role) and Pharmacy students - Supervision of Pharmacy staff in Director’s absence - Collaboration with hospital staff and prescribers to support safe medication practices, quality assurance initiatives, and formulary management at GGH - Participation in WWLHIN and other community/regional medication safety initiatives **In this role, you will**: - Have ongoing opportunities to learn and grow with a generous professional development program via our education assistance fund and in-house development programs - Have access to an amazing total rewards package which includes competitive pay, health and dental benefits, Short and long term disability and the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) where we match your contributions by 126% - Be a part of an organization committed to the well-being of our workforce - Support the Guelph Wellington Ontario Health Team’s commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression through our actions - Be a part of a team of high performing health care professionals Guelph is the perfect location for health care professionals seeking to make the most of life’s experiences.
