The incumbent is responsible to assist Retail Senior Management in creating and implementing an integrated sales culture and guest experience focused environment. The incumbent will work to develop this culture and grow it in specific retail locations; including responsibility for growing sales revenue through best practices in merchandising and inventory management, employee engagement and the store’s overall net financial contribution. He or she will be responsible for all employee relations, from hiring, scheduling, payroll and evaluations. Effectively train, coach and use Supervisors to maintain the best possible guest/staff experience while following best practices as laid out by SOP’s and employee handbook. He or she will have managerial authority to make key strategic decisions quickly, as necessary, in the best interest of their designated stores.

**What Will I Be Doing?**

Retail Sales and Staff Contribution
- Supervision of the Retail Sales Associate team; including on floor sales support, training, recruiting, performance management, daily work assignment and payroll.
- In coordination with the Senior Manager, plan and schedule PK sessions to ensure staff receive product knowledge training to enhance their selling skills.
- Always look for opportunities to develop the necessary skill sets within the team to be successful. Ensure retail staff regularly demonstrate the four key parts of BMR’s retail and guest services selling practice (GUEST): Greet. Understand. Educate. Sell. Thank.
- Implement standard operating procedures, which mirror the resort’s exceptionally high service standards.
- Reviews effectiveness of assigned operations, enforces regulations, prepare sales reports, and advise Senior Manager and Buyers on insights and trends.
- Develop strong working relationships with company representatives to ensure retail teams are well informed and provided the necessary sales tools
- In coordination with the Senior Manager, Inventory Coordinator and Buyers, discuss, plan and implement required SOP’s for the Retail Department.
- In collaboration with the Senior Retail Manager, ensure that goals and objectives are set for each individual store that include financial goals, KPIs as well as short and long term strategies
- Effectively communicate and reinforce any changes in procedures or policy to staff.
- Create store schedules via the When 2 Work Platform
- In coordination with Supervisors, manage daily payroll and store budgets
- Implementation of an effective communication strategy that ensures all staff are informed of SOP’s, Weekly News, Sale Schedules, Business Strategies and others. Plan for ongoing evaluation and opportunities to improve and evolve SOPs.
- In conjunction with peers, the Marketing Team and Buyers, conduct store/staff sale incentive programs.
- Work with various suppliers to become the product expert, responsible for the training and any legal certification required of our technicians.
- Be knowledgeable of the industry and the competitive landscape.

Contribution Analysis
- Analyze weekly statistical data to identify the store’s performance and guest demographic to assist the Senior Manager and Head Buyer to make adjustments to the product offerings and pricing.
- Establishing recruitment needs in line with business demands and budgets
- Work with the HR Recruiter to ensure that all sales positions forecasted are filled.
- Oversee time keeping in Kronos to ensure proper payroll costs and allocation.
- Review daily labour costs and react when necessary to affect positive change on the business’ financial contribution.
- Regularly analyze store sales records to determine merchandising activities that require additional sales promotion, clearance sales, or other sales procedures to achieve profitability and merchandising objectives.
- Coordinate merchandising initiatives with the Retail Leaders, to maximize turns and profitability.
- Liaise with Marketing and Events to best market stores and products in alignment with resort promotions and events.
- Coordinate activities within Retail and with other departments.
- Facilitate in association with I.T. any changes to LS Retail and Point of Sale.

Inventory Control.
- Accountable for managing inventory levels in store by accurately receiving physical inventory and ensuring correct sale and refund procedures are followed by staff.
