This permanent, full-time position will be based in Sinopec Canada’s Calgary, Alberta head office. We currently enjoy a hybrid office schedule, with the option to work from home on Monday and Friday.

Primary Purpose of Position

Roles and Responsibilities
- Steward the execution of water disposal technical work plan for Wapiti with goal to build inventory of water disposal locations. Leveraging technical work, contribute to overall water disposal strategy
- Maitain and support the overall Wapiti Montney location inventory for stacked play development consistent with annual budgets and the Wapiti Field Development Plan (Stage 1A and 1B). Mature budget locations for timely cost effective execution
- Provide subsurface geoscience and inventory updates to annual optimization and lookback of Wapiti Field Development Plan

(Stage 1A, 1B) and year-end Reserves and Resources bookings
- Provide geoscience input to Wapiti horizontal well design optimization
- Provide project management of geological wellsite operations
- Provide proactive geological support for Exploitation, Mineral Land and Acquisitions as required
- Provide geological and risk analysis for economic evaluations
- Participate in the Montney Producers Group as Sinopec Canada representative

Position Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- A thorough and innovative geoscientist that considers all data and takes pride in a comprehensive interpretation;
- Proven experience and knoweldge in log interpretation, petro-physical analysis, reservoir mapping, core logging, sequence stratigraphy and depositional environment interpretations;
- Proficiency with geological software (Accumap, Geographix);
- Comfortable in a multi-disciplinary team environment where ideas are generated and debated to arrive at an optimal solution;
- A “can do” attitude and see no problem as insurmountable;
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills;
- Pride in your work that is demonstrated in the thoroughness and quality of results along with the desire to share those results with others;
- Highly organized presentations that are concise and illustrate clarity of thought and confidence;
- An excellent communicator (oral and writtem) with all disciplines and all management levels;
- Self-motivated; easily build and execute a work plan;
- A prolific idea generator.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science in Geology from an accredited insitution;
- 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Western Canada Unconventional plays;
- Montney and operational experience is a highly recommended;
- A Professional Geologist designation accredited with APEGA.
