**Coordination and Supervision**:
- Supervise warehouse workers and ensure efficient loading and unloading of freight.- Coordinate with drivers, shippers, and receivers to confirm load details, appointments, and dock availability.- Manage the flow of traffic and activities on the loading dock.- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- **Logistics and Planning**:
- Plan and schedule loading and unloading activities.- Manage transportation resources, including trailers and equipment.- Ensure accurate and timely shipment of goods.- Verify shipments and reconcile discrepancies.
- **Equipment Management**:
- Oversee the safe operation of dock equipment, such as forklifts, dock plates, and dock doors.- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- **Communication and Customer Service**:
- Communicate effectively with drivers, shippers, and receivers.- Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- **Inventory Control**:
- Assist with inventory control and material handling.- Ensure accurate record-keeping of shipments.
- **Other Duties**:- May assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Experience with warehouse management software.
- Familiarity with safe work practices related to loading dock operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and react to changing situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Demonstrated skills to provide first-rate customer service.
