**SUMMARY OF DUTIES**

Prepares, operates and maintains audiovisual projection, streaming and recording equipment, in-theatre and online. Coordinates technical requirements with internal and external teams, proposing solutions tailored to the needs of each event or project. Manages multimedia supports (DCP, 16-mm/35-mm film, digital files), performs required calibration and adjustments (screening or streaming), and monitors sound and image quality. Prepares required spaces and equipment, adjusts parameters, participates in technical setup of partners and guests, provides an active technical presence during screenings and streaming sessions, and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Depending on the job assignment, works on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Delivers analog (16-mm, 35-mm)** **and digital screenings, providing technical preparation, equipment calibration and optimal sound and image quality in accordance with the current standards.**
- Prepares and delivers analog (16-mm, 35-mm) and digital screenings in accordance with client needs and NFB quality standards; retrieves and ingests DCP files or configures and aligns the different sources required in various streaming tools (e.g., Resolve), checks the quality of material (sound, image) and adjusts settings accordingly.
- Resolves technical issues to the best of their knowledge to ensure the event is successful.
- Installs, calibrates and maintains projection equipment before each screening and performs periodic maintenance on audiovisual equipment, including component conformity and oil-level checks for the 16-mm and 35-mm projector, ensuring compliance with established safety best practices.
- Manages the digital storage space (DCP servers, RAID devices, local stations), creates and organizes work sessions with different tools and administers their user profiles.
- Stays up to date on new trends and technologies (projection macros, DCP servers, advanced software like OBS or VMIX, audio/video equipment) and actively participates in testing and adopting new tools and workflows.

**Responsible for streaming live or recorded events, coordinating technical and logístical aspects to ensure smooth, high-quality experience.**
- Produces and coordinates online broadcasts of assigned events: plans and manages all technical and operational processes, ensures smooth operations, resolves issues and manages technical interventions when multiple technicians are deployed.
- Installs, calibrates and operates audio and video equipment during in-theatre and online events; adjusts broadcast audio (levels, equalization, clarity), video (camera switching, framing, colour, focus, frame rate) and lighting, in accordance with the event manager’s needs.
- During live streaming, performs video transitions and source switching, applies effects and insertions (titles, visual elements, pre-recordings) and adjusts technical parameters to optimize viewing quality and smoothness on various platforms.

**Clarifies the logístical and technical needs of internal and external clients, adapts proposed solutions in accordance with constraints and provides personalized service before, during and after events.**
- Organizes preparatory meetings with internal or external event managers to clarify logístical and technical needs, present options and constraints, and validate the execution (in-theatre, online, audio recording, interactions), then performs tests and final technical adjustments; assists in welcoming the audience, if needed.
- Informs external technical resources (recording, simultaneous translation, streaming) about the applicable standards and provides them with audio and video sources and required information to accommodate their needs.
- Prepares and installs equipment, material and space for events and work sessions (colour grading, online editing), performs required connections (peripherals and equipment), monitors the remote editing session, handles physical installation and resolves technical issues.
