We are looking for 2 experienced Behaviour Interventionist to work at least 2-3 times a week in a home or daycare setting incorporating ABA/ESDM programs, managed by a BCBA from Building Blocks Behaviour Consulting. It would be an asset if you have education and/or experience in ABA or a related field (e.g. Education, Psychology, ECE, Linguistics). However, those seeking to gain experience and develop a career working with children with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.

**Location: Vancouver
- River District area**

You would be working with a sweet and active 3 year old boy with autism spectrum disorder. You would be supporting him **at the daycare** and teaching him social behaviour skills, play skills, and communication skills. Sessions will typically be in the afternoons (3pm onwards).

**Location: Vancouver
- Killarney area**

You would be working with an active and playful 3 year old boy with autism spectrum disorder. You would be supporting him **at the family's home** focusing on social behaviour skills, executive functioning skills, and play skills. Sessions will typically be on Thursday and/or Friday in the afternoon (4pm onwards) plus a weekend morning. The schedule can be discussed in further detail during the interview.

**Duties of a Behavior Interventionist**:

- Implement behavior intervention plans and provide direct support to individuals with behavioral challenges.
- Collect data on target behaviors and analyze data to monitor progress and make adjustments to intervention strategies with support from junior behaviour consultant/behaviour consultant.
- Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans.
- Provide training and support to staff, caregivers, and family members on behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all interventions and progress notes.

**Requirements**:

- An individual who is energetic, patient, and dependable.
- Open to learning and have a positive attitude.
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong play skills.
- Able to commit for at least 1 year.
- Prior training in ABA is an asset but not required.
- Have a clear criminal record or willing to undergo one.
- Able to provide at least 2 professional references.
- Wage is between $21 - 28 depending on experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week
