**Characteristic Duties**: Under the general direction of the Manager of Housing Services, with the day-to-day direction of the Co-ordinator of Housing Programs.
- Input applicant data on City of Greater Sudbury (CGS) registry system (electronic and paper) and update information as required ensuring applicant data is accurate and current.
- Collect statistical data (i.e., registry usage).
- Record household applicant selections ensuring that selections conform with CGS and Ministry policy and procedures.
- Monitor and input offers of accommodation; report non-compliance issues to the supervisor, as required.
- Assist the supervisor in preparing files/documentation for applicant appeals.
- Perform typing, filing and other miscellaneous clerical duties (e.g., responding to calls, distributing faxes, collecting and distributing mail, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
- Perform other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education.
- Two and one half (2½) years up to and including five (5) years of directly related experience.
- Knowledge of community housing.
- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills in dealing with the public in a courteous and effective manner.
- Demonstrate accurate keyboarding skills at a minimum rate of speed of forty (40) words per minute.
- Demonstrate organizational and administrative skills and ability to exercise judgement in procedures and methods used.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Good judgement, interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- French verbal skills and a good working knowledge of written French is required.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
