**Job Title**:Water & Sewer Operator
**Salary**: $24.06-$34.38
**Term Contract**: Fulltime, ending December 15, 2024, with potential for extension
**Hours**: 4-day work week, Mon - Thurs (36 hrs)
**Location**: Ladysmith, BC
**About the Role**
Reporting to Public Works and Capital Coordinator, the Water and Sewer Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Stz’uminus First Nation’s (SFN) sewer and water systems.
The Water and Sewer Operator will undertake the Sewer and Water system’s assigned work duties. This will be limited to tasks that do not require certification by law that the employee has not yet obtained or for which she/he has not been adequately trained to perform.
**Qualifications**
- Must have Small Wastewater System Certification (SWWS)
- Must have Small Water Systems Certification (SWS)
- Experience in Public Works Maintenance
- Confined Space entry Training and Certification
- First Aid Certificate
- Completion of Grade 12
The Salary Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
