POSITION: Plant Maintenance / Caretaker

STARTING WAGE: $27 per hour to start, negotiable for

Limberis Seafood Processing Ltd. is looking for a competent, punctual, energetic person who is willing to learn new tasks to fill the Plant Maintenance Worker / Caretaker position. This position will also involve working in the processing plant on occasion, driving the delivery truck, and operating a boat.

Ladysmith is located 25 min south of Nanaimo, and 1 hour north of Victoria, and is in close proximity to Nanaimo International Airport and BC Ferries. The town itself is located on the beautiful waters of the Salish Sea, offering all kinds of marine activities to local residents. The jobsite overlooks the waters of Inner Ladysmith Harbour, and would allow for direct launching of kayaks and other small watercraft from the caretaker residence. The town is growing, and has all required amenities, such as schools, swimming pool with fitness centre, and all kinds of shops and boutiques.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Class 5 drivers licence with Air Endorsement (Driver’s Abstract required)(may obtain Air Endorsement while on the job)
- Basic electrical and plumbing repair knowledge
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Leadership skills
- Experience operating machinery a plus
- PCOC (boat operator licence) required (can be obtained online)
- Experience operating boats

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
