**Status**: Permanent, full-time (1)
Quadra is committed to having a strong and integrated Sustainability program and is seeking to engage a competent and passionate Sustainability Manager to fulfill this mandate. The purpose of this new position is to manage Quadra’s existing sustainability program as well as to oversee its ongoing development and expanded implementation.
To make the program successful, the Sustainability Manager has exceptional communication skills and the ability to understand and integrate the subtleties of our organizational structures, business model and our policies.
Reporting to the Corporate Vice President, the Sustainability Manager has one direct report (Sustainability Advisor) and will champion the program and work closely with Quadra’s Business Groups to gain their support and participation.
This position is based out of any of our major offices in Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Alberta or Vancouver). You must be able to travel to meetings as needed. We do offer a great flexibility / hybrid work policy so you can enjoy a good work-life balance
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Your main responsibilities as a Sustainability Manager**:
**Sustainability strategy**:
- Actively leads participates and champions adjustments in Quadra’s Sustainability program as aligned with our 5-year plan and/or needed for market and regulatory compliance
- Develops metrics to ensure progress against plans
- Collaborates closely with the businesses in the development of plans to ensure market alignments to the overall Sustainability strategy.
- Collaborate with all businesses in adequate structural adjustments needed to ensure trends arising from market shifts arising from sustainability are understood and factored into the businesses.
- Helps identify potential new ventures and opportunities
- Helps identify risk to existing business (current and strategically planned)
- Coordinates prioritize and ensure internal and external reporting is done as required
- Collaborates with Businesses and Executive Supplier Sponsors to understand, communicate an support our Pillar and strategic suppliers sustainability programs. Ensure suppliers Sustainability initiative are integrated in our business plans as appropriate
- Prioritize and coordinate customers Sustainability related demands with businesses and support departments (responsible for all related reporting and surveys)
- Working with all stakeholders at Quadra (including external service suppliers) assess the environmental impact of our operations, sourcing, supply chain, etc.
- Actively participates in relevant industry association as needed as it relates to Sustainability
**Manage our on-going sustainability initiatives including**:
- Ensuring compliance with government legislation, suppliers, and customer requirements
- Organizing and leading our community outreach initiatives
- Managing licensing, compliance, and participation in sustainability related organizations
- Communicate needs, updates and progress to management and appropriate internal departments and businesses
- Understand and recommend active participation in certification programs related to sustainability
- Lead the development and publication of our annual Corporate Sustainability Report
- Ability to lead reporting on carbon emissions for Scope 1, 2 and 3. Including communication of carbon reduction strategy to Executive committee, stakeholders, and customers.
- Manage Quadra’s sustainability roadmap to ensure we remain in a leadership position
- Coordinate implementation of sustainability initiatives, working with Sustainability team and other departments to achieve objectives and goals
- Champions the expansion of our “Green and Better “choice products
- Work in partnership with Commercial Group Leaders regarding establishing an appropriate sales target for Green & Better choice product to increase revenues.
- Coordinate ongoing internal and external communication with key stakeholders about sustainability issues of interest

**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor in Sustainability, in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Business or any related field
- Master’s Degree in Communication, Sustainability, Environmental Assessment, Environmental Studies/Science, Environment and Management or Resources, Environment & Sustainability would be considered as a great asset
