Here at Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown we are hiring the position of part-time/full-time banquet server / driver. Please be aware a valid driver's license is required for this position. The hours will be daily from 6am - 11am.

:

- Heavy lifting required to set up meeting space as per clients specifications
- Involves moving stacks of chairs, tables, Banquet bars.
- Set, vacuum, clean are meeting space areas.
- Break down of meeting space and event areas.
- To maintain Hotel standards at all times; Greet all guests with a smile and appropriate greeting (I.e. Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening).
- Ensure all food and beverage items meet department and brand standards before serving to guests.
- Inform your manager/supervisor of any guest complaints or problems.
- Serve and clear all food and beverage in an organized fashion and timely manner.
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform all other related duties assigned by Management.
- Driving company vehicle with banquet items back and forth each shift from sister property.

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT**:

- High School graduate;
- Previous experience in a similar environment, an asset;
- Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Service Standards as relating to Banquets required.
- Must be in excellent physical condition; Heavy lifting is required with this position
- Must be a responsible, organized individual who can work with minimum supervision;
- Must be honest, reliable and dependable and practice good hygiene;
- Must demonstrate behaviour consistent with core values;
- Must be a team orientated individual with good interactive skills.
- Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license

**PHYSICAL EFFORT**:

- Standing for long periods of time.
