Edmonton, Canada Matrix Labour Leasing Ltd. Full time

Matrix is hiring Journeyperson Pipefitters for a temp project near Edmonton, AB. The pay rate is $43.56/hr (Day shift). There is LOA or Travel provided and a night shift premium for this role. The pipe fitter will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, and planning, installing, and maintaining piping systems and related equipment. Our client is a top industry supplier and service provider for conventional oil & gas and oilsands-related industries and companies across Western Canada.

**Shift Details**:

- Either 12 days on 2 days off OR 6 days on 1 day off
- Day shifts 7 am to 7 pm
- Night shifts 7 pm to 7 am

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect the workplace, clear obstructions, and prepare materials/equipment.
- Study blueprints and plan pipe systems and equipment installations.
- Modify pipes to specifications using various tools.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Assemble and weld pipe components and systems.
- Secure pipes to walls/fixtures using brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- The order required materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
- Repair and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
- Clear obstructions in pipe systems and test their functionality.
- Comply with relevant codes and regulatory standards.

**Requirements**:

- Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification
- Safety Tickets - CSTS, WHMIS, H2S Alive, First Aid (asset), Fall Protection

**Qualifications**:

- Own tools
- At least 1-year experience in pipefitting
