**About us**

Rosedale Home for Special Care is home to 39 residents and is located in New Germany, a picturesque little village situated on the LaHave River 25 km north of the town of Bridgewater on the beautiful South Shore.

We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Recreation & Volunteer Services to join our care team.

As part of the senior leadership team, the Director of Recreation & Volunteer Services reports to the Executive Director and provides day-to-day management of the recreation department and its personnel. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative forward thinker to provide meaningful, engaging experiences for our residents and to create a robust volunteer program in the home. Working with a resident focused lens, and in alignment with our mission, vision and values, you will be an integral part of the Rosedale team.

**Qualifications**:
Baccalaureate Degree in Recreation with current membership in Nova Scotia Therapeutic Recreation Association.
Equivalent formal education and work experience may be considered.
Current CPR and First Aid certificate
Food Handlers certificate
Valid class 4 driver’s license
- or willingness to obtain
Continuing education in dementia care
Passionate for working with the elderly
Previous management experience an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
