**Warehouse Associate**

Ingredients Plus Distribution is a growing distributor of dry food products, supporting a wide sector of the food industry from major manufacturers to small bakeries and bulk food stores.

We are currently seeking a new warehouse associate to join our team.

Position: Warehouse Associate

, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Summary of Duties: Picking orders, loading and unloading trucks and containers, recording information on forms, general warehouse tidying

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Working Environment: This is a physical job. The duties require a significant amount of walking, standing and bending. A high degree of manual dexterity is required to perform all duties. Duties are primarily performed indoors where dust and noise are present, but some duties may be performed outdoors.

**Responsibilities**
- General warehouse duties that include, but are not limited to, order picking, receiving and shipping orders, completion of receiving/shipping documents, completion of internal Quality documents
- Keeping assigned areas clean and free from hazards
- Carry out and document all required quality assurance inspections
- Operate forklifts as required
- Work in a safe and responsible manner per Health & Safety Policy

**Qualifications**
- Must be able to work as part of a team, with mínimal supervision, in a busy environment
- Previous forklift experience is required
- Be able to lift bags/boxes up to 55 lbs
- Fluent in English - both verbal and written - and have good communication skills in order to communicate effectively with other team members
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to carry out tasks while under pressure and maintain a positive professional attitude
- Use of scan-guns and computers is helpful, but not required

**Experience & Education**
- Minimum Grade 12 education required
- Previous work in a food-related warehouse is preferred but not required

**Pay and Benefits**
- Hourly wage starting at $21.50, based on experience
- Full benefits available after 3 months of continuous employment
