Warehouse Returns Associate

**Role**:
Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, this position is responsible for receiving delivery associates back into the warehouse, processing paperwork and customer returns. This role requires someone who has strong organization, time management and attention to detail skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and adjust to changing needs is important as well as working with a team that likes to have fun

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Verify and ensure all returnable product is scanned and returned to stock daily.
- Inspect all items upon return to insure the items are compliant following our corporate driven food safety guidelines and credit returns policies.
- Ensure all route bags are sorted daily and all the driver’s paperwork is verified for accuracy and completeness.
- Repairing & recouping damages.
- Ensure customer credits are coded correctly.
- Communicate with various departments (Transportation, Warehouse, Credit, Inventory/QA) to ensure proper procedures and policies are being adhered to.
- Is willing to work safely with mínimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
- Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements**:

- 1-year experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- High school diploma required
- College Diploma an asset
- Material handling equipment experience is an asset
- Basic proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
