M & E Engineering Ltd., A Rimkus Company (M&E) is a Consulting Engineering firm, specializing in Mechanical & Electrical designs for Commercial, Institutional, & High-Rise Residential Buildings. The professional staff at M & E Engineering have been completing designs, problem investigation, & building condition assessments for over 30 years on hundreds of buildings for our clients in Ontario, across Canada, US, and in Europe.

We are currently looking for a Building Performance Consultant, who has experience working closely with MEP design teams and project managers on a wide range of project types and scales across both the public and private sectors.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Weaving new and unique approaches into high performance design processes across the M&E Engineering portfolio, while ensuring the efficacy of sustainability strategy development.
- Carrying out the evaluation of buildings and system design strategies.
- Educating project stakeholders on new technologies, as well as innovative solutions.
- Supporting the oversight of building certification, in addition to performance verification activities and processes.
- Working with applicable analytical tools to help inform design, as well as document performance in alignment with accepted standards.

**Qualifications include**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma from an Engineering or Technical program, with a focus on sustainable energy, building technology, or similar/relevant.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant capacity, with proven project management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable energy and building codes, as well as regulatory and jurisdictional specifications and requirements.
- Must be client driven, with excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- Due to worksite travel, a valid G driver’s license and reliable vehicle access is required.
